How the scores work.
Six dimensions, one comparison
Each dimension uses a 1–10 scale. These are subjective planning estimates for the backlink type, not measurements of a specific website, search-engine metrics, customer ratings, or promises of ranking improvements.
- Ease of finding: how readily suitable opportunities can be identified.
- Ease of acquiring: expected effort, eligibility and editorial barriers for a genuine participant.
- Longevity: likely durability of the placement, without a guaranteed lifespan.
- Spaminess: susceptibility to low-value or manipulative use. Lower is better.
- Page context: potential relevance of the surrounding page to the linked resource.
- Anchor context: potential for a natural, descriptive link in relevant surrounding text, rather than keyword stuffing.
The total score
All six dimensions carry equal weight. Spaminess is reversed before combining the scores. The theoretical minimum is 0 and maximum is 100.
100 × [(find − 1) + (acquire − 1) + (longevity − 1) + (10 − spaminess) + (page context − 1) + (anchor context − 1)] ÷ 54Totals are rounded to one decimal. Lists sort by total descending; equal totals sort alphabetically. Easy acquisition does not automatically mean a valuable link. Review the individual dimensions and publisher rules.
Guides, discovery and moderation
The initial 100 types were supplied by the site owner. Their guides and scores are AI-assisted editorial starting points, not verified offers from individual publishers. New discovery searches run daily in Seattle time. New candidates and visitor submissions enter a private suggestion queue.
An administrator approves or rejects each candidate before source verification and guide generation. Unsupported candidates remain unpublished. The processor compares backlink mechanism and placement against existing types; changing an industry or platform name does not establish a new type.
Paid and user-generated placements may carry sponsored, ugc or nofollow attributes. Follow the publisher’s rules and inspect the actual link. A published placement is not a guarantee of crawling, indexing or ranking credit.
